How does it find feeds?

Three ways. It reads the page for link rel="alternate" tags pointing at RSS, Atom or JSON feeds. It probes the usual paths (/feed, /rss, /rss.xml, /atom.xml, /feed.xml, /index.xml, /?feed=rss2) and platform rules (Substack /feed, Ghost /rss/, Medium feed/, YouTube channel feeds, Reddit .rss, GitHub releases .atom). Every candidate is fetched and parsed; only real feeds with items are shown.

The site has no feed. What now?

Many newsletter-platform blogs (beehiiv, Kit, MailerLite, Mailchimp) publish no feed. Use a Google News search feed for the topic, a Google Alert delivered as RSS, or a page-watch service. The tool builds the first two for you.

How do I turn a Google Alert into RSS?

Create the alert at google.com/alerts, open "Show options", set "Deliver to" to "RSS feed", then click the RSS icon next to the alert to copy its feed URL. Alerts feeds cannot be built from a URL, which is why the tool gives the steps instead of a link.

Can it read Facebook groups, Instagram or WhatsApp?

No, and neither can any feed reader. Those are closed to software. The promise is fewer tabs, not every tab.

Google Alerts as RSS

Go to google.com/alerts and type the topic, in quotes for exact phrases (for example "newsletter sponsorship").
Click "Show options". Set "How often" to "As-it-happens" or "Once a day", "Sources" to Automatic or News, "How many" to "All results".
Set "Deliver to" to "RSS feed" (it is below your email address in the dropdown). Click "Create Alert".
Back on the alerts list, click the RSS icon next to the alert. The URL that opens (google.com/alerts/feeds/…) is your feed. Paste it into any reader or source watch.

Alert feeds cannot be built from a URL; they only exist once you create the alert while signed in.
